The GIZ/ATVET/CAADP project has been instrumental in several capacity-building initiatives at the School since 2015. These initiatives included the development of Competency-Based Curricula (CBC) on Horticulture Value Chains where a total of 27 course curricula were developed for Nursery Management, Production, Processor and Agripreneurship from levels 3 to 6.

Similarly, staff members at the School have been sponsored for training in different relevant areas such gender, integrating ecosystems in curriculum development etc.

Additionally, GIZ has sponsored many women groups in Kiambu, Muranga and Embu Counties to be trained by KSA in value addition, agro-processing and value chain analysis, horticultural production, Entrepreneurship & Agribusiness development amongst other short skills-based courses.
