Welcome to the training department at the Kenya School of Agriculture. The training department coordinates all training programmes run by the school. It organizes training schedules and provides linkages with clients internally and externally.
The school runs two training models i.e. short and long duration training courses.
The short courses are skills and competency-based that address emerging needs in various agricultural value chains. The school is currently offering the following short courses:
- Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit
- Value addition, Agro
- Processing & Value Chain Analysis
- Green house technology
- in horticultural production
- Agri-Nutrition
- E-Extension
- Entrepreneurship & Agribusiness development
- Climate Smart Agriculture
- Integrated Pest

- Training of Trainers in Agricultural Extension
- Hydroponics Technology
- Tissue Culture Technology
- Agribusiness Proposal Development
- Gender Mainstreaming in Agriculture
In addition to the above short courses, the school offers tailor-made courses on demand.
KSA is also accredited by the Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC) to provide Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) in long and short courses in various agricultural value chains on continuous and modular-basis.

KSA is registered and licenced by Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority (TVETA) to offer certificate and diploma courses in Agriculture as listed below:
The school provides an incubation programme that mentors trainees in various agricultural value chains and links them to the relevant markets.
